Aikido for Seniors

This class is designed to use the principals of Aikido, a Japanese martial art, to increase confidence, balance and body coordination. We will use a short staff or walking stick to help focus on stance and footwork. As we continue through the summer sessions, we will be adding 'bokken' or wooden sword to our curriculum to further body awareness and posture. Learning individual training exercises will also work your memory. Students will increase their awareness in defensive situations in a safe learning environment. You will not be getting down on the floor.

Summer 2026:

Session 2: July 22 thru August 26 (Wed 12:30-1:50 PM)


Fall/Winter 2026:


Session 1: Sept 16 thru Oct 21 (Wed 12:30-1:50 PM)

Session 2: Nov 4 thru Dec 16 (Wed 12:30-1:50 PM)
